What we offer
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training is a key component of our Steering Healthy Minds (SHM) program.
MHFA is the help provided to an employee who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis.
MHFA training can assist workplaces in identifying and supporting individuals with mental health problems to receive professional help. Enable your workplace to meet the new work health safety requirements and be recognised as a MHFA skilled workplace. Our SHM courses are transport industry focused and facilitated by Steering Healthy Minds MHFA Accredited Instructors.
We are taking expressions of interest from members of the transport industry who would like to participate in this training and become a workplace MHFA Officer. The courses are all subsidised thanks to our key sponsors.
Mental Health First Aiders
Steering Healthy Minds are hosting a series of transport industry specific Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training COURSES across Australia.
Thanks to our sponsors, who are providing accredited MHFA instructors with transport experience and training facilities to support the delivery of the program.
The training is run over two days, usually as 2 x 6 hrs days, including breaks.

Accreditation is valid for 3 years.

MHFA Engaging Leaders Course
The MHFA Engaging Leaders course is a 90-minute virtual session designed for senior leaders, decision-makers and influencers. It equips participants with information about MHFA Australia and how our courses can be used as part of a broader strategy to create mentally healthy workplaces.
This course does not teach the skills of providing mental health first aid, and there is no certificate for attendance. It should be viewed as an information session, that has been designed to turn leaders into champions of the Mental Health First Aid program.
